Knee Pain

Chronic knee pain is mostly cased by arthritis in the joint or a chronic condition from an old injury. Osteoarthritis of knee is commonly known as the degeneration of the joint cartilage and bone, which can cause you to have less mobility, swelling and pain. If this goes untreated, it can lead to bone on bone conditions that can ultimately be costly.

Other reasons that can cause knee pain other than arthritis:

  • Injury

  • Improper bio-mechanics

  • Sprain

  • Strain

  • Tendinitis

  • Obesity

How Can Roswell Medical Group Treat Knee Pain?

The main goal we want to achieve is to provide a treatment that does not use painful knee surgery and rehabilitation. Overtime, the fluids that lubricate the joint start to decline with age. When this knee joint becomes less readily available to the joint, that is when you will start to notice those painful symptoms. Here at Roswell Medical Group, we replace that fluid that is starting to not become readily available with our all natural substitute injection. This injection has proven to extend the life of the knee joint and to help relieve some of those painful symptoms that you may be experiencing.

Research has shown that an increase in this fluid can decrease the destruction of the cartilage, and revitalize the surrounding tissue, and actually act as a buffer or a cushion to the joint. Following the injection, physical therapy is the next best step. We will take a complete body approach to get you back to the best possible health because in the body, nothing can happen in isolation.

Treatments we offer for knee pain:

  • Hyalgan injections-Viscosupplementation (Covered by most insurances)

  • Active and passive physical therapy for the surrounding soft tissue

  • Low force chiropractic adjustments to promote balance

  • Detoxing and cleaning the joint

  • Provide knee braces

How Will These Injections Help With My Knee Pain?

Knee joint pain that is mostly associated with arthritis can be treated with an all natural solution called chronically acid that is painlessly injected directly in the knee. Your body will naturally produce Hyalgan, which is the bodies main ingredient in the lubrication for your joints. As you age, this process begins to slow down, which may be what is causing you pain. In order for us to replace this fluid with best results, we recommend a series of 5 injections to be administered over the course of 5 weeks. This will grant about 18 months of pain relief, with the doctors weekly injection, as well as the necessary physical therapy that will be assigned to ensure that the pain level s decreasing, your range of motion is increasing, and that knee is strong and stable.
